Pierogis – very tasty indeed! |
Oh what to do with a whole head of Napa cabbage – yes make another coleslaw, yum that is great but it is cold and rainy outside how about some comfort food? So I found a great recipe here and made the dough in advance and after the kids pick up from school started rolling and cutting the circles to make the outer and whipping up the inside on the skillet. After 15 minutes in the oven – the prep was the longest time – the pierogi were out of the oven and into our mouths, getting a thumbs up from all except my daughter. The pierogis were served with a mayo honey mustard dressing, steamed broccolini and vegetarian sausages, comfort dinner at its best.
Yum! I call them hand pies and make them with curried potato filling.
